Getting there:
- Bratislava airport is served by Ryanair, SkyEurope. There are frequent buses between Bratislava (airport and town) and Vienna (airport and town) - about 40 minutes by road.
- For the mountains and wintersports, SkyEurope fly from Stansted to Poprad.
- Austrian Airways and SkyEurope fly to Kosice at the eastern end of the country.
- Trains and buses from Prague, Budapest, Cracow and other European cities.

Buying property in Slovakia is straightforward; the country has met all the EU standards and the legal and registration processes are transparent and reliable. Make sure of course that you have a reliable solicitor. Prices around Bratislava have been a little inflated of late, but the rest of the country offers exceptional value.
